IMMOEAST AG was founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of IMMOFINANZ to cover business activities in Eastern Europe. The company has traded on the Vienna Stock Exchange since December 2003, and in the Prime Market segment since March 2005. Since May 2007 IMMOEAST has also been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. IMMOFINANZ holds a stake of 54.64%, and the remainder of the shares represents free float.

The primary business of IMMOEAST is the development, acquisition and active management of properties. This also includes the administration, realisation and sale of objects. In addition, IMMOEAST owns and manages numerous investments in other companies.

The goal of the company is to generate sustainable income from first-class properties in good locations. The IMMOEAST portfolio currently includes 1,571 investment properties with a combined book value of EUR 6.9 billion.

IMMOEAST is diversified through two types of segments: regional segmentation that is based on markets in the CEE, SEE and CIS regions and IMMOAUSTRIA with its core markets in Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Russia as well as sector segmentation according to the type of property (e.g. offices, logistics, commercial and residential objects). With the sale of WIPARK Garagen AG as of 30 April 2009, IMMOEAST withdrew from the garage segment.

IMMOAUSTRIA, formerly an independent Group company, was sold to IMMOEAST in March 2009 and merged into this new parent company during April. This integration was part of the restructuring and organisational redirection of the IMMOEAST/IMMOFINANZ Group that was started and implemented over the past 12 months. The primary goals of this process are to optimise earnings and generate positive free cash flows.

In addition to operating diversification, IMMOEAST still holds a number of financial investments. However, the Group’s new strategy calls for the withdrawal from projects where IMMOEAST acts solely as a financing partner.
